Alverno College

Virginia Wagner was the Associate Vice President for Student Services and one of the founding supporters of the intercollegiate athletics program at Alverno.

She was instrumental in the research and proposals that led to the establishment of the athletics department and intercollegiate programs in 2000.

In 2004 the Athletics Department created the Virginia Wagner Award, which is presented annually to a student-athlete whose commitment, leadership, and community service made a positive impact on the Alverno College campus.

Virginia is an alumna of Alverno and received her bachelor's degree in education in 1969.
