Alverno College

Lisa Sorgi was a member of the Inferno basketball team from 2006-10 and was named team MVP her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.

The  guard was a second team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference selection her senior season in 2010, and received honorable mention from the conference her sophomore season in 2008.

Sorgi became the first 1,000-point scorer in school history and graduated as Alverno's all-time leading scorer with 1,244 points and is currently second on the all-time list, yet still holds the career mark with 307 free throws made and has the second-most steals with 189.

Honored with the department's Virginia Wagner Award her senior year, a double alumna of Alverno, Sorgi, graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in political science and in 2013 with a master's degree in community psychology.
