Date of Induction: April 25, 2026
Katie Crawford (Renteria)
is one of two cross country runners in program history to have earned All-Conference honors, with her All-Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Second Team honors in 2009, cementing herself as one of the best runners in Alverno history.
Katie’s career was highlighted by her performance in the 2009 Northern Athletic Conference Championship at Concordia Wisconsin, when she finished 17
th and was the first Inferno runner across the line, beating out fellow Hall of Famer Sarah Olson, who finished in 19
th. Katie’s time of 25:35.00 in the race was nearly her best career time in the 6k, which she set a few weeks earlier at Ripon when she ran a time of 25:34.00. The times ranked eighth and ninth in program history, trailing only times by Olson. Katie has the eighth fastest race in program history in the 5k, with a time of 22:09.00 at Beloit in 2010.
One of Katie's favorite memories with Alverno Athletics was the camaraderie she shared with her teammates. She describes it as a "meaningful blend of women from different backgrounds and ambitions, all supporting one another personally, academically, and athletically". That sense of community made her experience incredibly special.
