MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Alverno College Director of Athletics
Antonio Rivas has announced the promotion of
Dom Hudson to Assistant Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026. Hudson will continue to serve as the department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), Head Cross Country Coach, and Assistant Track & Field Coach, while assuming expanded leadership responsibilities within Alverno Athletics.
In her new role as Assistant Director of Athletics, Hudson will serve in a key leadership capacity alongside the Director of Athletics, helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the department while supporting the continued growth of Alverno Athletics. She will coordinate transportation for all team practices, competitions, and athletically related travel, collaborate with coaches to ensure efficient departmental operations, oversee all Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) meetings and initiatives, coordinate departmental fundraising efforts, and serve as the department's strength and conditioning coordinator for all athletic programs throughout the year.
"I am very excited to see Dom step into this well-deserved role," said Rivas. "Her hard work and dedication to our student-athletes and teams deserve to be recognized. She loves Alverno, and I am thankful she is expanding her leadership opportunities and responsibilities with us."
Hudson has served as Alverno's Senior Woman Administrator for the last two years, playing an integral role in the department's internal operations. She has also continued to invest in her professional development as an athletics administrator and coach. Since becoming Senior Woman Administrator, she has been selected to participate in numerous national leadership and educational opportunities, including the Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) program in 2024 and 2025, the NCAA Senior Woman Administrator Program and Women Leaders Convention, the NCAA Impact Forum, the WeCOACH Academy, and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention. She has also been selected to participate in the NACDA Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute, which was a part of the NACDA convention this past June and continues with sessions in September of this year.
Hudson is no stranger to the Inferno, having been one of the most decorated student-athletes in athletics history. A four-sport athlete during her time at Alverno, she competed in basketball, cross country, golf, and softball before returning to her alma mater as a graduate assistant coach for basketball and cross country.
Following her graduate assistant role, Hudson was named Head Cross Country Coach beginning with the 2024 season. In her first season leading the program, the Inferno placed 11th at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships before closing the year by defeating Mount Mary in the Women's College Classic on Alverno's home course. During the 2025 campaign, Hudson again guided the team to an 11th-place finish at the conference championships while overseeing continued individual development, as four runners recorded career-best performances during one of the team's final two meets of the season.
Hudson earned her associate's degree from Pierce College in Lakewood, Washington, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Alverno in 2022 and a Master's in Community Psychology in 2025.
