MILWAUKEE, Wis. – July 1 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Alverno Athletics as the Inferno officially becomes a full member of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) while simultaneously launching a refreshed athletics website featuring an updated visual identity that aligns more closely with Alverno College's institutional brand. 

The redesigned website introduces a modern look highlighted by Alverno College's institutional colors, Innovation Red and Discovery Gold, creating a stronger visual connection between Alverno Athletics and Alverno College while providing an improved digital experience for student-athletes, alumni, fans, recruits, and supporters. 

"I am truly excited for Alverno's next chapter in Athletics as we join the Coast-to-Coast Conference and introduce a refreshed brand identity that better aligns with the institution as a whole," said Director of Athletics, Antonio Rivas. "While we take great pride in our athletics history, we are equally optimistic about our future and the opportunities that are possible for our teams and student-athletes. I am grateful to our administration for supporting our move to the C2C, positioning us within a nationally recognized conference that consistently competes on the postseason stage. I am also thankful for the opportunity to unveil a refreshed look that reflects the future of our Inferno teams."   

The updated website includes: 

• Improved navigation and user experience on web browsers  

• Enhanced storytelling through news, schedules, rosters, and multimedia content.   

• A refreshed color palette featuring Alverno's institutional colors.   

• Updated athletics branding and logos.  

• A consistent visual identity across athletics communications and digital platforms.   

The website refresh is part of a broader branding initiative that will also include updated athletics logos and graphics across social media platforms beginning July 1. 

The date also signifies a historic milestone for the department as Alverno officially begins competition as a full member of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference. The move positions the Inferno among a unique group of institutions committed to providing an outstanding NCAA Division III experience for student-athletes while expanding competitive opportunities on a national stage. 

While most of Alverno's varsity programs will now compete in the Coast-to-Coast Conference, it will continue its longstanding relationship with the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) in golf, where the program will remain an affiliate member.

The C2C will consist of eight full-time members in 2026-27: Alverno College (Wis.), University of California-Santa Cruz, Christopher Newport University (Va.), Johnson & Wales University Charlotte (N.C.), University of Mary Washington (Va.), Regent University (Va.), Salisbury University (Md.), and Warren Wilson College (N.C.).
