DUNDEE, Ill. – The Alverno golf team wrapped up its 2025-2026 season on Tuesday, April 7
th, finishing 18
th at the Judson Spring Invitational at Randall Oaks Golf Club.
Freshman
Yazmin Fernandez-Chavez (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI Catholic) posted the top mark for the Inferno, setting a new career best as she shot a 132 (+61) to finish tied for 95th. Junior
Michelle Hess (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) had the next best mark, shooting a 135 (+64), placing 98
th. Seniors
Jenna Kornwolf (Milwaukee, Wis./Greenfield) and
Katie Kornwolf (Milwaukee, Wis./Greenfield) rounded out the scoring with a 151 (+80) and 152 (+81), respectively. Katie's score marked a career best, as the sisters wrapped up their careers as Alverno student-athletes.
Lake Forest won the event with a team score of 328 (+44), while their top scorer, Amanda Adley won the event with a score of 79 (+8).
The Alverno Inferno golf team has completed its season and will return to action next fall.
