MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Alverno College softball team heads south this weekend for THE Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida, where the Inferno will compete in 10 games over multiple days against non-conference opponents. The annual trip provides Alverno with an opportunity to gain valuable early-season experience while testing itself against programs from across the country, specifically teams from the Northeast, during the 2026 Inferno trip.
TICKET PRICING: Adult Daily Passes are $20, Adult Five-Day Passes are $75, and Full Event Passes are $90 for the entire month-long event.

SCOUTING THE FIELD:
The Inferno will face a variety of opponents from different conferences and regions throughout the trip. The Spring Games feature teams from Division III programs nationwide, offering diverse styles of play and competitive matchups.
Nazareth University: 2025 Record – 21-15, 14-8 (Empire 8)
The Nazareth University Golden Flyers are headlined by returning NFCA All-American Kaijah Alexander, who earned All-America plaudits after a standout freshman campaign and was a finalist for DIII Freshman of the Year. In addition to third team All-America honors, she was also named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and a first team E8 selection. The team's two other first-team selections from last year also return, with Morgan Russo and Haileigh Suitor each set for their junior year campaigns. Their final two all-conference honorees, Madison Hicks and Sarah Ferruzza, also return for the Golden Flyers in 2026. Alexander, Russo, and Suitor all earned NFCA All-Region honors as well in 2025.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute: 2025 Record – 25-16, 13-7 (NEWMAC)
The Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineers return a solid squad in the 2026 campaign and were picked to finish fourth in the NEWMAC. The Engineers return first team All-Conference honorees Destiny Lum and Riley O'Brien, and NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Year, Virginia McKinney, also returns after committing only one error on 75 chances in the outfield last season. O'Brien was also an NFCA All-Region selection for the Engineers, while also earning the 2025 NFCA Division III Rawlings Gold Glove Second Base honoree.
Bates College: 2025 Record – 16-19, 7-11 (NESCAC)
The Bates College Bobcats return in 2026 with two NFCA All-Region selections headlining their team, as Isabel Bettencourt is back for her junior season and Delaney Rankin will pitch in her senior year for the Bobcats. The pair were also first team All-NESCAC selections, while both Ella Maher and Emma Yen were second team honorees and return in 2026 for Bates.
Ursinus College: 2025 Record – 22-20, 9-7 (Centennial Conference)
The Ursinus College Bears return three All-Conference selections in 2026, headlined by senior Kayla Carr, who was a first-team honoree last year. Lucy Wolf was a Centennial Conference second team selection, and Christa Andrusiewicz was an honorable mention honoree, the third all-conference honor of her career. In the conference preseason poll, the Bears were picked to finish fourth in the Centennial Conference.
Endicott College: 2025 Record – 22-15, 14-4 (CNE)
The Endicott College Gulls 2026 roster returns five All-Conference of New England selections, highlighted by First Team honoree Abby McClaflin, who led the team in batting average (.354), slugging percentage (.646), and on-base percentage (.435), while also tying for the conference lead with six home runs last season. Mia Mitchell, Elyse Saccoccio, and Ella Tower return after earning second-team honors last year, while Kristen Beebe returns for the Gulls after being a third-team selection. Endicott finished the 2025 season with the best record in the CNE but fell in the conference tournament semifinals.
UMass Dartmouth: 2025 Record – 20-18, 7-9 (LEC)
The UMass Dartmouth Corsairs enter the 2026 season projected to finish in the top half of the Little East Conference, tying for fourth in the conference poll. Returning to lead the team in 2026 are two LEC All-Conference selections, RaeLynn Perregaux, a first team selection, and Edy Crawford, who was named to the All-Rookie Team. Perregaux was also an NFCA All-Region Third Team honoree after finishing the 2025 season with 54 hits and a .443 batting average.
Southern Maine: 2025 Record – 20-20, 10-6 (LEC)
The Southern Maine Huskies also were voted to finish fourth in the LEC preseason poll, tying with conference opponent UMass Dartmouth. The team returns three LEC All-Conference honorees, as both Kendall Migliorini and Mia Coots were named to the first team. Coots and Gwen Christie were each All-Rookie Team honorees for the Huskies. Coots was also named the 2025 Maine College Baseball & Softball Association (MCBSA) Rookie of the Year after her first-year campaign.
Rutgers-Camden: 2025 Record – 5-30, 3-15 (NJAC)
The Rutgers-Camden Scarlett Knights were voted to finish ninth in the NJAC preseason poll and are led by returning outfielder Ryleigh Lender, who was an NJAC Honorable Mention as a freshman. She hit. 349 and had a team-high nine doubles, also slugging two homers. A pair of key letterwinners who return with junior and sophomore eligibility, respectively, are third baseman Alana Gannon and catcher Madi Carr. Gannon led the team with 18 runs scored last season, tied for the team lead with two home runs and was tied for second on the team with six doubles and 14 RBIs. Carr, in her first season at Rutgers-Camden last year, hit .309 while playing second base.
Keuka College: 2025 Record – 6-28, 4-17 (Empire 8)
The Keuka College Wolves enter 2026 with a new head coach in Jessica Wilcox, a former star pitcher in the same conference for Alfred University. She had served the prior two seasons as an assistant coach at Buffalo State. Returning for her in 2026 includes a third-team All-Conference selection in Hailey Jasinski, who hit. 432 and had an OPS of 1.160.
University of Maine-Farmington: 2025 Record – 16-18, 4-4 (NAC)
The University of Maine-Farmington Beavers enter the 2026 season projected to finish fourth in the NAC and will be led by their lone returning All-NAC honoree, Jessica Dow, who was a first-team honoree. She hit .388 and compiled 33 hits and 19 RBI. Maddie Pike is also a player to watch for the Beavers in 2026 in her senior season, as she has hit over .300 each year.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE INFERNO:
The Inferno last played on Sunday, May 4, 2025, taking on Mount Mary to conclude their 2025 season, falling in doubleheader action despite a strong offensive effort. The team scored 15 runs on the day, led by
Alyssa Hubli (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph Catholic Academy) who was 5-8 with two home runs, three RBI, a double, and four runs scored.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
The Inferno returns a good mix of impactful players, while also adding some new players with impact talent as well. The trip for Alverno will be a great test as the new and old will look to mix into a cohesive unit before they

The Inferno are set to return to Wisconsin for two home doubleheaders on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22 at the Alverno Softball Field. On Saturday, March 21, the team will open Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action against Marian and then will have a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday, March 22, against North Park.
