Galesburg, IL- The Alverno Inferno Golf team completed their Fall Schedule on Saturday and Sunday at the Prairie Fire Invitational Hosted by Knox College.
The Inferno would finish fifth in the event which was won by Illinois College.

The Alverno team score of 961 on the two day event (+391) easily bests the previous program record for lowest two day event team score.

Looking at the individual performances by the Inferno, May Wendelberger (Wauwatosa,WI) continued her outstanding first season.  Wendelberger would finish 10^th overall in the event, shooting a 111 on Saturday and a very solid 103 on Sunday.

The outstanding two day score by Wendelberger adds to her record setting season, as her two day score was the lowest two day score in Alverno Golf history.

The 103 on Sunday is another single round for Wendelberger that falls within the top ten of best single rounds in program history.

Michelle Hess (Aurora, IL) would finish closely behind in 13^th place overall.   She would shoot a 112 on both days of the event.  Hess's two day score ties for the third best two day total in program history.

Finally for the record books, prior to this weekend, Alverno Golf had never had two top 15 finishers in a multi-day event, so the 10th place finish by Wendelberger and 13th place finish by Hess, breaks new ground for the program as well.

Ash Eldridge (Kenosha, WI) would finish in 22nd place, her Saturday round highlighted by her 1^st career par.

Finally for the Inferno, Lilly Fisher (Chicago Heights, IL) would finish in 25^th, following her personal best round on Saturday.

The event concludes the Fall schedule for the Inferno, which was highlighted by many records falling and the continued improvement and growth of every member of the team.
