2025 Schedule
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Alverno College cross country team will begin its six-race, 2025 campaign this Friday, Aug. 29, at the Rock River Invitational at the Rockford Cross Country Course in Rockford, Illinois.
Dom Hudson '25/'22 begins her second year as head coach of the program and will look to bring her team towards continued improvement in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
"It's the most wonderful time of the year! The energy is contagious- I don't know who's more excited, me or the runners," Hudson said, "I'm truly looking forward to witnessing this team challenge themselves, grow stronger, and discover just how powerful they really are— both in body & mind."
Schedule
This year, after opening its season at the Rock River Invitational, the team heads to UW-Parkside for the Vic Goffrey Open on Friday, Sept. 5. They then head to Concordia-Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 13, for its first weekend race at the Ken Weidt Cross Country Classic.
After a couple of weekends off, the team will then head to the Warrior Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Greenfield Park, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran. The team's final meet of the regular season will be at Concordia Wisconsin as they compete in the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Championships will be on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Shorewood Park Cross Country Course in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Roster
Of the seven runners this season, five have competed over their time at Alverno and will bring talent and experience to the team.
Senior
Morgan Whitten (Columbus, Miss./Columbus Christian) returns as one of the team's top runners from a year ago, as she finished as the top Alverno runner in all but one of the meets she competed in. Also returning is graduate student
Rosie Robles (Milwaukee, Wis./Carmen Southeast), who was the first to finish for Alverno at last year's NACC Championships.
Seniors
Katherine Peabody (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) and
Lylah Wise (Kingman, Ariz./ASU Digital Prep) each competed last season and will bring experience to the team this year. Senior Hailee Eschbach (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper), who competed for the team as a freshman, rejoins the team in 2025.
Two newcomers to the cross country team in 2025 are junior
Jaycee Reyes (Tucson, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) and sophomore
Bailey Gardner (Winnipeg, Manitoba/University of Winnipeg Collegiate.
