Franklin, Wis. – The Alverno College golf team hosted its second home match of the season finishing second place at the Rockford Dual held at the par-72, 5,748 yard Oakwood Park Golf Course in Franklin, Wisconsin.
The Inferno carded a 505 (+217) to close out the event. Alverno College was led by senior Avery Maxell (Des Moines, Iowa)
, as she shot for a total of 107 and a par (35), finishing in second place.
Teammate
Haley Marini (Friendship, Wis.) shot for a total of 108 and a par (36) to finish in third place.
Nevaeh Cruz (Aurora, Ill.) shot for a total of 138 and a par (66) and secured the sixth place finish spot. Finishing things out for the Inferno was newcomer
Jenna Kornwolf (Milwaukee, Wis.) who shot for a total of 152 and par (80), and placed eighth.
Next, the Inferno will compete in the NACC Women's Golf Championship on October 5-7 hosted at St. Andrew's Golf Course.
