ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Alverno Golf team was in action once again on Friday, as they competed in the Rockford Homecoming Invitational at Aldeen Golf Club hosted by Rockford University. 

As a team, Alverno registered a score of 551. 
 
Individually, Alverno had three of its best four scores of the season led by senior Avery Maxwell, who carded a 114. Classmate Haley Marini also carded a 116, while Jenna Kornwolf had a 159 in the match. Katie Kornwolf recorded a season-best score, tallying a 162.
 
Carroll University won match match with a 377. Rockford as second with a 479 followed by Alverno with a 551.  
 
The Inferno will be back in action on Sunday as they host Rockford at Oakwood Park Golf Course.
