WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Alverno Golf team was back on the course on Thursday afternoon, taking part in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Triangular, hosted by fellow NACC institution Wisconsin Lutheran. The Inferno was fourth on the final team leaderboard, with a team score of 516 strokes.
 
Leading the way for the Inferno was senior Avery Maxwell, who carded a 108 for her second-straight appearance as she ended her round at +36. Classmate Haley Marini was two strokes behind Maxwell with a 110, while newcomer Nevaeh Cruz was a few strokes back at 144. Jenna Kornwolf rounded out the Alverno quartet with a 154.
 
Carthage won the event with a 344, while Lake Forest finished second at 368. Host Wisconsin was third at 428, while Alverno finished with a 516.
 
 
Alverno will get back to action on Friday afternoon, when the Inferno travel to compete in the Rockford Homecoming Invitational at Aldeen Golf Club with a 2 p.m. start.
