KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The Alverno Golf team was in action once again this past weekend, at the Midwest Region Open hosted by Benedictine University at Brighton Dale Links. The Inferno finished in 33
rd place with a team score of 588. The team finished with 278 in the first round and closed out the second with 280.
Individually, Alverno was paced by senior
Avery Maxwell who finished with a score of 224 (first round: 111 | second round: 113) for a 178
th place finish. Next to finish for the red and black was junior
Haley Marini completing the event with a 250 (first round: 123 | second round: 127), followed by newcomer
Nevaeh Cruz with a 186
th place finish and a score of 308 (first round: 153 | second round: 155).
Rounding out the scoring for Alverno was
Jenna Kornwolf compiling a score of 352 (first round: 179 | second round: 173) to secure 187th place.
Alverno will return to the course on Thursday, September 25 as they compete in the WLC Triangular at Currie Park Golf Course in Wauwatosa. First tee time is scheduled for 1:04 p.m.
