MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Alverno Volleyball team faced off against NACC opponent, Benedictine on Saturday afternoon. The Inferno fell three sets to none during the first Saturday match of the season at Reiman Gymnasium.

Rolin West and
Selena Upshur shared the top kills with six each, followed by
Dominique Tetrault with two.
Izzy Gianniou led the Inferno with thirteen assists in the match.
Rolin West totaled seventeen digs, a season high.

The Inferno started off to a 10-5 lead in the first set. They battled back and forth until Benedictine eventually won, 25-20.

Benedictine controlled the second and third set, with scores of 25-9, and 25-12, capitalizing on long rallies.

Alverno (1-11, 0-5) look ahead to take on the Foresters of Lake Forest College on October 3rd as they travel to the Sports & Recreation Center for a non-conference match at 7pm CST.

The Inferno are back home at the Reiman Gymnasium to continue NACC play on October 5th, to take on Concordia University-Wisconsin at 7pm CST.
