DE PERE, Wis. – The Alverno Volleyball team recorded one block on the night as the Inferno fell to the host St. Norbert Green Knights in three sets.
Leading the way in blocks was senior
Selena Upshur with a solo block. Uphsur also recorded eight digs.
Rolin West led the team with nine kills on the evening, while
Sharisty Kooch was second with one.
Izzy Gianniou led Alverno with seven assists, with Kooch finished the match with two, while
Breann Flannery added one.
Alverno dropped the opening set with a 25-10 score; the Inferno and Green Knights went back and forth early in the opening set before St. Norbert rattled off unanswered points to pull away.
In the second set the Green Knights controlled the tempo cruising to a 25-6 victory.
The third set opened host St. Norbert controlling the tempo coming out with the early lead. The Green Knights would then cruise to take a 25-4 set victory over the Inferno.
Alverno (1-10, 0-4 NACC) will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as the Inferno host Benedictine University for a 12 p.m. start inside Reiman Gymnasium.
