MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Alverno Volleyball team took an early trip out to Montgomery, Illinois to take on the reigning NACC champions of Aurora University.

The Inferno battled, but fell 3-0 (25-13, 25-8,25-17).

The first set started out with the momentum in Aurora's corner. However, Alverno battled back when
Dominique Tetrault scored the first point of the day, giving her one of her two kills along with two blocks on the day, a career high for Tetrault. The Inferno pulled within three points of Aurora before Aurora took the set one victory 25-13.

The second set proved challenging for the Inferno, but they came back in the third set where they put up 17 points in a 25-17 Aurora victory, putting the game away.

Rolin West led the team with 10 kills on the day, closely followed by
Selena Upshur with 4. Who both racked up 9 digs each against the Spartans.
Sharisty Kooch totaled two aces on the day as well as six digs and three assists.
Izzy Gianniou led the Inferno with 9 assists.

The Inferno head into a three match week leading things off with Maranatha Baptist University on Tuesday, October 10th at 7pm in the Reiman Gymnasium.
