MILWAUKEE, Wis.- Alverno Volleyball took on Concordia University- Wisconsin on Thursday night for a midweek Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference match-up.

Alverno fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 15-12) to Concordia but refused to go down without a fight.

The Inferno came out swinging, keeping it close for the majority of the match. Alverno kept the first set within five points until CUW pulled ahead, finishing the set off with a 25-16 victory.

The second and the third sets followed suit with Alverno keeping it close, however, CUW reigned victorious in the final two sets of the night, taking a 3-0 win.

Rolin West led the Inferno with 12 kills on the night,
Selena Upshur following behind with five kills herself.
Izzy Gianniou led the team with 13 assists and tacked on two service aces to her resume. On the defensive end,
Breann Flannery led the Inferno with 15 digs, matching her season high.

The Inferno will next travel to Aurora, Illinois on Saturday, October 7th to take on Aurora University. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
