MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Inferno Volleyball team played in their last home match of the 2023 season against the Stars of Dominican University on Saturday, October 30th.

The Inferno honored lone senior,
Selena Upshur, as she took to the court in Reiman Gymnasium for the last time in an Alverno uniform. Upshur tallied 9 kills in the match, but unfortunately, the Inferno came up short in the 3-0 loss (25-15, 25-18, 25-16).

Leading the Inferno was
Rolin West with 10 kills on the day, while also racking up 7 digs on the defensive side.
Izzy Gianniou was the only player with assists against the Stars, adding 21 assists to the box score and her career total.

In the back row,
Breann Flannery led the team in digs with 23, a new season high for the sophomore libero. Following behind Flannery was West with 7 digs and Gianniou with 5.

With the 2023 season winding down for the Inferno, they look towards Tuesday, October 31st, for a non conference match against the Titans of University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh at 7pm CST in Oshkosh, WI. Alverno wraps up NACC play against Marian University on November 2nd, at 7pm CST.
