MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Alverno volleyball team was back on the road on Thursday evening, as the Inferno paid a visit to Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Alverno dropped the opening set with a 25-8 score; the Inferno and Raiders went back and forth in the opening set before the Raiders rattled off unanswered points to pull away.

In the second period, the two sides were once again close as Alverno came back on a mission. Alverno College took a 6-4 lead on a service ace. Alverno advanced its lead 23-19 on an attacking error by MSOE. Alverno was able to close out the set on an attacking error by Emily Stratton to give the Inferno a 27-25 victory to close out the set.

The third set opened host MSOE controlling the tempo coming out with the early lead. Both teams would battle for the lead with Alverno cutting the lead 8-6 on a service error by the Raiders. MSOE would then cruise to take a 25-18 set victory over the Inferno.
