MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Inferno traveled to Illinois for the last time this season, as they visited Concordia University-Chicago in yet another NACC matchup of the season.
The Inferno battled hard, taking a set from the Cougars before falling short in the fourth set of the game.
In the four set match (25-10, 25-19, 22-25, 25-10) the Inferno settled for multiple season highs for multiple players.
Leading the Inferno with kills was
Rolin West as she totaled double digits with 13 on the day.
Izzy Gianniou followed behind with 5, and behind Gianniou was
Dominique Tetrault with 3.
Rolin West added 3 aces during the match, with
Sharisty Kooch following with 2.
Selena Upshur recorded her first ace of the season against the Cougars while also adding on a season high 2 blocks.
Izzy Gianniou added 17 more aces to her season total, but also added on a season high 5 kills against CUC.
On the defensive side,
Rolin West collected 14 digs with
Breann Flannery following suit with 11 and
Sharisty Kooch with 10. Kooch also recorded her first block of the season against the Cougars.
With the season winding down for the Inferno, they look to finish strong as they take on the Raiders of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Thursday, October 26th at 7pm CST at the Kern Center.
The Inferno will be back home in Reiman Gymnasium on Saturday, October 28th at 12pm CST against the Dominican University Stars to celebrate Senior Day.
