MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Inferno celebrated Faculty Appreciation Night while competing against NACC opponent, Lakeland University on Thursday, October 19th.

The Alverno battled and took a set away from the Muskies, but eventually failed to take the win in the 4 set (25-14, 25-11, 21-25, 25-14) match.

The match started off slow for the Inferno, before they picked it up in the third set which they went on to win before falling in the fourth and final set of the night.
Â
Rolin West led the team in kills with 21 while also picking up an ace and solo block against the Muskies.
Selena Upshur amounted the most digs with 17 while
Breann Flannery followed close behind with 16 and
Izzy Gianniou finishing with 9.

Anabella Vik collected a career high 3 blocks against Lakeland, along with a career high 5 points in one set.

Following her 9 digs,
Izzy Gianniou led the pack with 25 assists, placing her 10th in single season assists with 398.

The Inferno will be back in action on Saturday, October 21st as they take on Concordia University- Chicago at 12pm CST in River Forest, Illinois at the Geiseman Gymnasium.
