PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Alverno soccer team returned to action on Saturday morning, visiting the Lakeland Muskies on Taylor Field and falling to its host by a 1-0 score.

Junior
Georgia Wise was back in goal for the Inferno and stopped 15 shots during her 90 minutes of play to give her 43 saves on the season with a season-best performance on the day.

The Inferno held the Muskies off the board on through the opening half, before Lakeland ultimately broke through with a 78th minute goal for the lone marker in the contest.
Alverno had one shot on the afternoon, with freshman
Madison Wise registering a shot in the 70th minute taking one that was on frame.

Seven additional Inferno played the full 90 minutes including seniors
Ashley Flores,
Ziri Hernandez-Bustos, and
Katie Shipley along with freshmen
Janae Bowie,
Ashley Gutierrez-Diaz,
Ashley Ibarra, and
Haley Youngblood.

Alverno (0-12-1) will be back in action at home on Saturday, October 22 as the Inferno will play host to the Marian Sabres beginning at 1 p.m. on the Alverno Soccer Field.
