Box Score MILWAUKEE -- Annie Davison scored all four Alverno College goals as the Inferno defeated Crown College of Minnesota, 4-1, in the Mount Mary University Invitational Saturday afternoon at MMU Field.
The Kenosha native wasted little time on the attack as her first goal found the back of the net in the game's ninth minute to give the Inferno the early lead.
The next score of the contest wouldn't come until the 65th minute when Becca Schnell set up Davison for her second goal.
The Storm (0-1-1) got on the board and cut the lead to 2-1 just minutes later, but Davison responded with her third and fourth scores in the 74th and 87th minutes for a new career high and secured her team the victory.
It marks the second consecutive game an Inferno player scored a hat trick, as Jackie Vanderkolk accomplished the feat in Friday's 6-3 win over tournament host, Mount Mary.
Alverno (2-0) has already matched last season's win total and surpassed the scoring total just two games into the 2016 season.
Next up is the Inferno Cup at Alverno Field Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11. The Inferno will host Knox College Saturday at 2 p.m., while Lakeland University and Blackburn College will square off in game one of the classic at 12 p.m.
