Milwaukee, WI- The Alverno College soccer team showed great fight and determination Tuesday when they hosted the Eagles of Benedictine University.
The defense of the Inferno held steady for much of the match, slowing down Benedictine and turning away many early offensive chances.
The depth of the Eagles would be the difference in the match unfortunately as Benedictine would score four goals in each half for an 8-0 victory over Alverno.
Benedictine would attempt 45 shots on the afternoon,
Hannah Wester (Clintonville, WI) piled up 20 saves in net for the Inferno.
Alverno will next be in action on Tuesday, October 20
th. The Inferno will head to Maranatha Baptist and look to even the season series. The Sabercats grabbed a victory at Alverno on September 15
