PLYMOUTH, Wis. -- The host Lakeland College Muskies topped Alverno College 5-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opener for both teams.

The Muskies (3-4, 1-0 NACC) scored the go-ahead goal in the game's 22nd minute as Taryn Allen netted her first of three goals on the day.

Goalkeeper Katelyn Bartlett had 14 saves in all 90 minutes at goal for the Inferno (1-4, 0-1) as the sophomore faced 33 shots from the host team.

Annie Davison led Alverno with a pair of shots, both of which were on frame, but was unable to convert for a score.

The Inferno returns home for its next action as the team continues league play versus Wisconsin Lutheran College next Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alverno Field.
