RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- League-leading Dominican University defeated visiting Alverno College, 13-0, Wednesday afternoon.

The host Stars (7-4, 5-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) wasted little time in taking the lead with quick score in the fourth minute of action by Taylor Adler, before Kelli Iovino scored three consecutive goals in a three-and-a-half-minute span for a commanding lead.

The Inferno (1-9, 0-5 NACC) limited Dominican to just three second-half goals despite a nearly the same number of shots in the period (20) as they attempted in the first (24).

Allison Weick recorded a career-high eight saves as the rookie logged all the second-half minutes as Alverno's goalkeeper.

The Inferno continues its current two-game road swing Saturday at Marian University.
