MILWAUKEE -- Not only did Alverno College's season come to a close Friday afternoon, but so did the Inferno's 19-game win streak versus its crosstown foe Mount Mary University.

The Blue Angles' (3-16) goal in the 83rd minute stood for a 1-0 defeat of Alverno (2-16) in nonconference action, despite the Inferno's 20-6 advantage in shots and 8-2 edge in corner kicks. It was Mount's first win over Alverno since a similar 1-0 decision back on September 10, 2005.

Annie Davison fired off a team-high seven shots, which included four on frame, but was unable to get it past the Blue Angels' goalkeeper, Becky Onan, who had eight saves.

Katelyn Bartlett had three saves in all 90 minutes at goal for Alverno, which ended the 2015 campaign on a four game skid.
