MILWAUKEE -- Visiting Benedictine University shut out host Alverno College, 7-0, on a cloudy and windy Wednesday afternoon at Alverno Field.

The Eagles (8-7-1, 5-3 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) had just a 2-0 lead at intermission, but tacked on five second-half goals.

Mackenzie Mathies managed the only shot for the Inferno (2-13, 0-9 NACC), while Katelyn Bartlett registered 15 saves at net.

Alverno closes out the home portion of its schedule Saturday as it hosts Rockford University on Senior Day at 2 p.m.
