FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- Host Marian University used a six-score second half to defeat Alverno College, 8-0, Saturday afternoon at Smith Field.

The Inferno (1-10, 0-6 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) limited the host Sabres (4-9, 1-5 NACC) to just 13 shots and a pair of goals in the opening period. Allison Weick tied her career-high with eight saves at goal for Alverno in the half.

Marian then fired off 20 shots and connected on eight in the second half.

Next up for the Inferno is a matchup with Concordia University Wisconsin Wednesday at Alverno Field. The game against the Falcons begins a five-game homestand for Alverno.
