Box Score MILWAUKEE -- Visiting Edgewood College handed Alverno College a 7-0 loss on the Inferno's Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Alverno Field.
The Eagles (12-3-1, 7-1 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) put up the first goal in the 12th minute as Taylor Pampuch scored on a cross from Jennifer Dailey.
The score would remain 1-0 for the next 22 minutes until two more first-half goals by Edgewood in the 34th and 42nd minutes gave the visitors a 3-0 cushion at the break, which it would extend in the second period.
Though outshot 23-6, the Inferno (2-11-1, 1-6 NACC) put three shots on frame. Brittany Carpenter, Briguite Martinez and Jackie Vanderkolk each tallied a shot on goal for Alverno.
At halftime, the Inferno seniors -- Carpenter, Kaitlyn Gallinatti, Erica Isaacson, Casey Scheibengraber and Amber Thomas -- were honored in a ceremony to celebrate their careers.
The Inferno returns to action tomorrow as it hosts Robert Morris University-Lake County at 1 p.m.
