RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- For the third-consecutive game Alverno College was shut out. Today it was by host Concordia University Chicago, 4-0, at Cougar Field.

The Cougars (6-2-1, 2-2-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) scored a pair of goals in each half as the hosts fired off 20 shots in the contest.

The Inferno (4-4-0, 0-3-0 NACC) had its chances with seven shots, which in included three on frame, but the Cougars' held the Inferno attack at bay much of the afternoon.

Alverno looks to snap the current skid when it returns home to host winless Rockford University on Saturday. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Alverno Field.
