MILWAUKEE -- Visiting Alverno College was shut out by Wisconsin Lutheran College, 3-0, Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

WLC opened the scoring in the 12th minute, and added goals in the 41st and 73rd minutes.

The Warriors (4-8-2, 2-2-2 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) doubled the amount of shots the Inferno (6-6-0, 1-5-0 NACC) took, a 14-7 advantage for the hosts.

Four of the Inferno's shots were on goal, but the Warriors' goalkeeper stopped Brittany Carpenter, Nava Moniriarani, Elizabeth Terrones and Sydney Wisner's attempts.

Alverno looks to get back on the winning track Wednesday as it hosts Lakeland College at 3:30 p.m.
