Box Score MEQUON, Wis. -- Host Concordia Wisconsin scored three times in the first 13 minutes of the game, and the Inferno were unable to come back in a 5-1 loss on Saturday on the CUW Campus.
Alverno sophomore Nava Moniriarani (Oak Creek, Wis.) scored the team's long goal of the game with 10 minutes left in the first half for her third score of the season.
The Falcons (5-3 overall, 5-0 Northern Athletics Conference) added a pair of goals in the second period for the 5-1 final score. CUW held a 35-4 advantage on shots, and also 8-0 on corner kicks.
The Inferno (2-8, 1-3) look to snap their three-game skid next Wednesday at Concordia Chicago. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. in River Forest, Ill.
