MILWAUKEE -- Alverno used 28-4 advantage on shots, including 15-3 on goal, to defeat visiting Robert Morris University of Lake County 3-0 this afternoon at Alverno Field.

Rachel Krueger (Port Washington, Wis.) started the scoring in the game off a pass by Casey Scheibengraber (Milwaukee/School of Languages) just 10:25 into action.

Neither squad would score the rest of the half, but just 6 minutes into the second period, Kaitlin Schaeren (New Berlin, Wis./West) scored her first goal of the season off a Bryanna Gayle (Milwaukee/Riverside) shot that was blocked by an Eagle (1-10-1) defender.

Shortly after, Nava Moniriarani's (Oak Creek, Wis.) pass from a corner kick would find Gayle to put the Inferno up 3-0.

Samantha Robinson (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Tremper) recorded three saves for her second shutout of the season.

Alverno (4-9), winners of two-straight, finishes up the nonconference portion of their schedule on Thursday at Mt. Mary.
