MILWAUKEE -- MSOE defeated visiting Alverno College by a score of 4-0 this morning at Time Warner Cable Stadium in Milwaukee.

The host Raiders (7-3, 5-0 Northern Athletics Conference) got on the board early, scoring in just under two minutes into the game and then added a pair of goals later in the first period for a 3-0 lead at the half.

The Inferno (3-4, 0-2) managed only one shot in the first half, compared to MSOE's 26--11 of which were on goal. Alverno goalkeeper Samantha Robinson (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Tremper) recorded eight saves in the half.

In the second period the Inferno were able to slow the Raiders' offensive attack, limiting the hosts to just 11 shots, four on goal and a single score in the 70th minute. Alverno also managed to control the ball a bit more as Audriana Rosas (New Berlin, Wis./West) managed two shots in the half, but was unable to connect for a score.

Alverno hosts a pair home conference games this week at Alverno Field as they take on Benedictine University on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., and Maranatha Baptist on Saturday at 11 a.m.
