RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Host Dominican University scored the first goal of the game just 59 seconds into play and never looked back defeating visiting Alverno College 9-0 today in River Forest, Ill.

The Inferno, playing in their final game of 2010, finished the season at 8-12 overall and 3-9 in Northern Athletics Conference play.

The host Stars (14-4-1, 10-1-1 NAC) outshot the Inferno 37-0 and also had the advantage on corner kicks 7-0.

Freshmen goalkeepers Samantha Robinson (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Tremper) and Jackie Clore (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) split time at goal for the Inferno, recording four and seven saves, respectively.
