Alverno Falls to Edgewood 9-0

MADISON, Wis. -- The Inferno soccer team was again held scoreless, losing 9-0 to an extremely fast and powerful Edgewood team on Saturday, Oct. 18.  With the loss, Alverno's record drops to 0-10 in the NAC and Edgewood improves to 8-1 in the NAC.

"Ellie LaFond (Waukesha, Wis.) had an outstanding effort today, but just couldn't capitalize", says head coach Angela Zuniga-Meyer.  With only 3 total shots on goal, Alverno couldn't do much to match Edgewood's powerful offense, who recorded a total of 26 shots on goal.

Joslyn Binkowski (Greenfield, Wis.) spent the first half of the game at goal, tallying 10 saves.  Jess Kramer (Kenosha, Wis.) came in for the second half and tallied 7 saves.

Next, the Inferno travel to Mount Mary College on Thursday, Oct. 23; Alverno will look to defeat Mount Mary for a second time this season.  Game time is set for 4pm.
