Milwaukee, WI- Tuesday evening saw the second meeting of the season between the volleyball teams of Alverno and Lake Forest College. The Foresters had defeated Alverno on September 19th.
Playing at home, the Inferno hoped to turn the tables on Lake Forest in the rematch, those hopes fell short unfortunately as Alverno dropped the match by scores of 25-14, 25-23, and 25-14.
The second set was the most promising of the night for the home standing Inferno, but Lake Forest battled back from a late set deficit to pull out the win by the slightest of margins.
Jayden Koziol (Willowbrook, IL) would lead Alverno with six kills and six blocks.
Carley Juneau (Milwaukee, WI) had seven assists and
Nasya Robinson (Houston, TX) provided eight digs. Alverno collected nine blocks, to just four for Lake Forest.
Next up for the Inferno will be another multiple match event in the state of Iowa. On Saturday, Alverno will travel to Wartburg College. There they will play two matches, one against the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and one against Wartburg.
