St. Louis, MO- The Alverno Inferno soccer team headed to the Show Me State on Saturday to take on UHSP in St. Louis. The Inferno showed great fight in the match but fell short to the Eutectics by a score of 10-1.
The highlight of the match for Alverno came in the 82
nd minute when
Amely Hernandez Alvarez (Milwaukee, WI) found the back of the net. It was her second goal of the season for the Inferno.
The UHSP offensive attack was relentless, firing 34 shots on the day.
The Inferno will be back on the home pitch for their next contest. They will host the Cardinals of Andrews University on Wednesday, September 23
rd. Alverno will look to the turn the tables and avenge their loss to Andrews earlier this season on September 4
th.
