MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its all-conference team and major award winners on Friday for the 2026 softball season, and two Alverno softball players earned Honorable Mention honors. Senior
Giselle Moreno (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) earned all-conference honors for the third time in her career, and sophomore
Nadya Hudson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) earned her first career all-conference honors in her first season with the Inferno.
Moreno is only the second player in program history to earn all-conference honors at least three times, joining Hall of Famer Stef Wilmore, who was an all-conference selection all four years of her illustrious career. Moreno and Hudson are also the first teammates to earn all-league recognition in the same season since Erin Dulek and Ashlie Rossi in 2015.
Moreno, a Lane Tech graduate, finished her career as one of the best to ever hit for the Inferno. She set the all-time home run record this season, finishing her career with 20 homers, two better than Wilmore, and finished in the top ten in career categories such as batting average (5

She also led the team with 11 multi-hit games, including a team-best 10 two-hit games and one four-hit game. Her season was highlighted by a record-setting day as she went 4-5 against Rockford in game two of their doubleheader on March 29

Hudson, a Wauwatosa East graduate, enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Inferno as a sophomore. Hudson finished the season in the top 10 in the NACC in on-base plus slugging percentage [OPS] (8

Her 35 hits were tops on the team as she also scored 23 runs, and she slugged .688 and had an OPS of 1.118. Hudson was second on the team with 10 multi-hit outings, but led the team with four three-hit games. One of her best days of the year also came against Rockford, when she finished the doubleheader against the Regents 5-7 with three RBI, five runs scored, a double, and two home runs. Against Aurora in game one of their doubleheader on the final day of the season, Hudson matched the program single-game home run record with two solo shots in her first two at-bats.
