MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Alverno College and the Department of Athletics will revive track and field beginning in the 2026-27 academic year, with targeted competition for both indoor and outdoor beginning in spring 2027. This addition will bring the number of sports offered at the college to eight.
"I am ecstatic to announce the return of track and field to Alverno College," said
Antonio Rivas, Director of Athletics. "The revival of the program only shows Alverno College's commitment and investment in our athletics department and student-athletes. I am grateful for the opportunity to provide another athletic program to help strengthen and anchor our current programs as we look to recruit high-level athletes."
Alverno College is a member of the NCAA Division III and will begin competing in the Coast-To-Coast Conference (C2C) in 2026-27, becoming the conference's eighth core member. Track and field will join six other Alverno sports competing in the C2C — basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Alverno Athletics also sponsors golf.
A nationwide search for a head track and field coach/assistant cross country coach will begin immediately.
