MILWAUKEE – The Alverno volleyball team was back at Reiman Gymnasium Thursday evening, as the Inferno played Edgewood College, as their conference opener.

Edgewood took an early lead winning the first two sets, 25-12 and 25-11. The Inferno fought their way back in the third set, but ultimately, Edgewood was able to take the set and the match, winning 25-18. 

Alverno was led by senior Rolin West, who had a team-high 11 kills on the evening, and 10 digs. Junior Sharisty Kooch aided the Inferno with 15 assists on the night as well as 2 aces. 

Junior Dominique Tetrault had one of her best nights with 7 kills with freshmen Iylana Johnson and Elyse Kozikowski totaling 13 digs for the night. 

Alverno (3-9, 0-1 NACC) will be back in action on Wednesday evening, September 25th, as the Inferno head to Wisconsin Lutheran College for a 6 p.m. start.
