The Inferno pulled away early in the first set, winning 25-15. The Inferno continued to keep the pressure on, winning the match by taking the second and third sets, 25-13 and 25-13.
Senior Rolin West and Junior Dominique Tetrault kept the Inferno going with 23 kills combined along with 15 digs from West. Junior Sharisty Kooch came in clutch with 21 assists and 3 aces on the night.
Stepping up for the Inferno, Sophomore Mamah Konneh had 2 crucial blocks, along with freshmen Elyse Kozikowski and Iylana Johnson doing their part on the court. Kozikowski ended the night with 9 digs and 2 assists while Johnson recorded 3 kills and 2 assists.
Head Coach Neilee Newton has now secured her third win in her first season at Alverno.
The Inferno will return home to Reiman Gymnasium on Thursday, September 19th at 7pm against Edgewood College for their first conference matchup of the season.
