MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Inferno played their second home conference game of the year on Monday with a make-up against Edgewood, with the Eagles taking the games by a 14-3, 4-0 victory.
 
After Edgewood took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, the Inferno rallied with a two-run frame in the bottom half of the inning. Sam Vinti singled to center field to score Giselle Moreno and Laura Heim to tie the game two all.
 
In the bottom of the third inning Giselle Moreno collected her second home run of the season when she hit one out of the park to take a 3-1 lead.
The Eagles tacked on another eight runs in the top of the fourth and four in the fifth to take a 14-3 lead, before closing out the game to register the win.
 
The second game resulted in a 4-0 decision in favor of the Eagles. Edgewood held Alverno scoreless in the contest. The Inferno finished the contest registering two hits.
 
Alverno will continue its home game stance hosting the Green Knights of St. Norbert College on Saturday, April 20 at the Alverno Softball Field for Senior Day. Three seniors will be honored! First pitch is slated for 12 p.m.
