RIVER FOREST, Ill. --The Alverno College women's volleyball team fell to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) opponent the Dominican University Stars (12-12,5-7 NACC) in three sets (18-25, 11-25, 11-25) Saturday afternoon on the road inside Igini Sports Forum.
The loss dropped Alverno record to (3-21) overall and 0-12 in NACC action, while DU improves to 12-12 overall and 5-7 in the conference.
Rolin West lead the charge with seven kills, one block, one assist and four digs.
Sharisty Kooch recorded one assist, two aces, two kills and nine digs.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Inferno found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-18. Alverno trailed by as many as 10 points as Dominican never gave up the lead in a set that was knotted up zero times with the Stars controlling the pace.
SET 2 | A 25-11 second-set loss put Alverno behind 2-0 in the match. The Inferno dropped set two despite a solid performance.
SET 3 | Alverno couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Inferno couldn't survive a furious Dominican rally, losing 11-25.
