LISLE, Ill.- The Alverno Volleyball team faced off against NACC opponent, Benedictine on Saturday afternoon. The Inferno fell three sets to none during the first road conference Saturday match of the season at the Rice Center.
Rolin West was the top lead in kills with 15, followed by
Dominique Tetrault and
Iylana Johnson with four and three respectively.
Izzy Gianniou led the Inferno with 12 assists in the match.
Rolin West had another double-double performance with 15 kills and 10 digs.
The Inferno started off to a 5-2 lead in the first set. They battled back and forth until Benedictine eventually won, 25-13.
Benedictine controlled the second and third set, with scores of 25-15, and 25-15, capitalizing on long rallies.
Alverno (3-12, 0-4) look ahead to take on Beloit on October 8th as they travel to Floor Arena (Sports Center) for a non-conference match at 7pm.
The Inferno will travel to continue NACC play with a matchup against Concordia Wisconsin on October 10th and will be back home at the Reiman Gymnasium on October 12th, to take on Aurora at 12pm.
