ROCKFORD, Ill. --The Alverno College women's volleyball team fell to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) opponent the Rockford University Regents (9-8,1-7 NACC) in three sets (14-25, 19-25, 11-25) Saturday afternoon on the road inside Seaver Gym.

The loss dropped Alverno record to (3-17) overall and 0-8 in NACC action, while RU improves to 9-8 overall and 1-7 in the conference. 

Rolin West lead the charge with another double-double performance with 17 kills and 15 digs. Sharisty Kooch recorded 17 assists.

» Gianniou had a team-high three aces in the loss.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Inferno found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-14. Alverno trailed by as many as 10 points as Rockford never gave up the lead in a set that was knotted up zero times before the Regents took control.
SET 2 | A 25-19 second-set loss put Alverno behind 2-0 in the match. The Inferno dropped set two despite a solid performance on the attacking end. Alverno put together a .083 attack percentage with 10 kills in the set loss.
SET 3 | Alverno couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Inferno couldn't survive a furious Rockford rally, losing 11-25.
