MILWAUKEE – The Alverno volleyball team continued their home stand at Reiman Gymnasium Saturday, facing Aurora University in a conference match up. 

Aurora gained the early lead, winning set 1, 25-7. The Spartans continued with the momentum, winning sets 2 and 3, 25-5 and 25-9. 

The Inferno came out fighting with multiple rallies throughout the match. Senior Rolin West led the afternoon with 2 kills, 1 ace, and a big block to keep the energy going for the Inferno. Junior Sharisty Kooch had 2 aces and 1 kill. Senior Izzy Gianniou secured 3 assist, 1 kill, and 1dig 

Alverno (3-15, 0-6 NACC) will be back on at home Thursday evening, October 17th, as the Inferno face the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Institute of Technology for a start at 7pm.
