MEQUON, Wis.- Alverno Volleyball took on Concordia University- Wisconsin on Thursday night for a midweek Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference match-up.
Alverno fell 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-7) to Concordia but refused to go down without a fight.
The Inferno came out swinging, keeping it close for the majority of the match. Alverno kept the first set within five points until CUW pulled ahead, finishing the set off with a 25-9 victory.
The second and the third sets followed suit with Alverno keeping it close, however, CUW reigned victorious in the final two sets of the night, taking a 3-0 win.
Rolin West led the Inferno with six kills on the night,
Makiyah Buck and
Rehginae Cosey following behind with one kill each.
Sharisty Kooch led the team with four assists. On the defensive end,
Rolin West and Makiyah Buck led the Inferno with four digs each.
The Inferno will return home to host Aurora University on Saturday, October 12th. First serve is set for 12 p.m. inside Reiman Gymnasium.
