DE PERE, Wis. – The Alverno softball team got back on the field on Sunday afternoon at Miron Construction Field as the Inferno took on the St. Norbert Green Knights for the first time as conference foes. The hosts won both contests by the scores of 16-1 and 16-0.

Junior
Izzy Torres had the team's lone RBI and run scored on the afternoon, with a solo home run in the top of the first inning of the opener. Senior
Natalie Akin had two hits on the afternoon with base knocks in each contest, while sophomore
Lexi Hess also had a base knock in the second game.

The Inferno drew a pair of walks, with Torres walking in the opener and junior
Ziri Hernandez-Bustos reaching base with a walk in the night cap.

Akin pitched four innings in the opener and was unable to record a strikeout against the St. Norbert offense. Torres pitched the entirety of the second game of the day and struck out a pair over her four innings of work.

Alverno (0-12, 0-8 NACC) will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, as the Inferno will play a make-up doubleheader with the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons on the Alverno Softball Field beginning at 3 p.m. on April 11.
